Chloë Marsden was Born in London and immigrated to Aotearoa/New Zealand in 2005. She currently lives and works in Wellington. In 2013 Marsden received a BFA (hons) from Massey University Wellington. Marsden is a practice based visual artist working in mixed media. Past work has explored the nervous system and how the brain processes trauma, female reproduction and infertility. Marsden’s current work explores the physical and emotional transitional process a woman undergoes in motherhood described as Matrescence. She is currently in ‘residence’ and works from a studio in her home in her own self-directed open sourced Artists Residency in Motherhood.
