Kassandra Palmer

Kassandra Palmer is an artist who makes paintings and painted objects. Her work consists of small predicaments that freely oscillate between figuration and abstraction. Beacons that point to the survival of the unexpected, her constructions are excavated artifacts from the wilderness of a mind. Nibbles from the fruits of blind faith, each of these unlikely oddities celebrates the incalculable nature of resurrection and listens for echoes that ring true but do not compute. Kassandra was born in Fairfield, California and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

She graduated summa cum laude from Santa Clara University with a degree in physics, and she earned her MFA degree in Painting and Drawing from the University of Iowa. Kassandra has exhibited her work nationally, and she has taught at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Carroll University, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She currently lives and works in Madison, Wisconsin.
