I love telling visual stories, weaving narrative into unique, uplifting works of art and design. My drawings, paintings, murals and paste-ups are simple but involved, built up of continuous line, written slogans and areas of flat bright colour. Since moving to a rural setting and becoming a mother, my practice has evolved to include collage and the assemblage of found objects. I tend to make work about people who inspire me, spreading the wisdom of living life positively and to the full. I enjoy studying the principles of Design by collecting and curating objects by colour, shape or balance. I graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Illustration and Printmaking in 2004. Now I live in Argyll and Bute on the West coast of Scotland by Loch Long. I work freelance as an illustrator, exhibiting and mural artist, curator and educator, lecturing at Art Schools and FE Colleges and running community education programmes. In 2007 I founded Recoat with my partner and we continue to collaborate to curate exhibitions run internationally renowned mural projects. I’ve exhibited across the UK in solo and group shows. I also create work on the street, painting murals and pasting up my drawings across the UK and Europe. Illustration clients include - The Skinny, The Big Issue, The List, The Scottish Refugee Council, Amnesty International, Red Bull and soxpopuli.com.
