Fiona Morrison
Fiona Morrison is a mixed media artist who incorporates everyday found objects, ephemera and recycled textiles in her exploration of place. Creating and art have always been a part of Fiona's life but it wasn't until her daughters both started primary school that she found time for herself as an artist. As a result her work is based on places important to Fiona as a mother, including the (now abandoned) bus station that was central to getting around with toddlers, and the local woods that was (and still is) the backdrop to many adventures. With an interest in decay and wear in both the natural and built environment Fiona takes an experimental approach to her practice leading to a variety of non traditional materials, tools and techniques being used in her work. Fiona works from her home studio in Falkirk, Central Scotland.
