‘Slow Down. Hurry Up.’ by Tulika Ladsariya

As an artist, educator and mother, I am constantly trying to seek the right balance for my life. At any given point in the day, I see myself juggling at least a dozen balls up in the air. I journal every day, but every so often my writings just turn into a checklist of everything I need to do in the day. Being an immigrant, my support system is frail and I find myself in that position where I try to do it all.

This piece was born out of my desire to balance my day though slow moments that I wish to savour and cherish and quick chores that I need to speed through and complete. 

Slow down, hurry up, hurry up, slow down. Rinse. Repeat.
