Zarine Mohideen
Zarine Mohideen is a visual artist from Chennai, India currently living in the Bay Area. Her work represents the mélange of various realities that create a life. She works primarily with watercolor, ink and pigment to create abstract landscapes of her inner world. When the pulse of her energies shift, she look towards nature, drawing inspiration from flowers and allowing her intuition to guide her to create abstract floral work. Her pieces are flush with palpable energy and she is drawn towards bold colors that help translate her inner state. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from India and a Graduate degree in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University, and previously worked in tech. Zarine has exhibited her pieces in many galleries in and around the Bay Area. She works out of her studio at Visual Philosophy in San Jose.
