‘Needs & Desires’ is a participatory installation whereby mothers/carers of all ages and backgrounds are invited to answer the questions ‘What do you need? and What do you desire?’.
Call for exhibition volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to help in all aspects of our upcoming exhibition; Whose Story Is It? The exhibition will be held at Edinburgh Palette between March 5th - 26th but volunteers will be required between March 1st-27th.
Artist Spotlight: Ruth Batham
Ruth Batham, born in the Black Country, moved to London to study at Wimbledon School of Art. In 2019, she was an offsite painter at Turps Art School. Ruth's work combines a drawing and painting process with a background in Human Science. Having studied at UCL, she interrogated what it is to be human from a range of disciplines, such as Anatomy, History of Medicine and Anthropology. This alongside her role as an educator informs her painting practise. She has exhibited across London and has work in private collections.

Open Call - If Not Now, When?
A year on from the first lockdown’s being imposed around the world, we are facing the reality that “unless we act now, the pandemic could set women’s rights back by decades” (United Nations 2020). This past year has seen systems of oppression rise to the surface once more, and has disclosed inequalities which can no longer be overlooked. It has made the invisible or ignored, visible for all to see. It is clear that we cannot return to what was, and we do not yet have a clear path forward. So where do we go from here?
