Suzanne Dolan
Suzanne Dolan is an artist based in East Galway. Working mainly in print, she studied fine art ceramics in "LSAD" utilising old traditional printing techniques on clay. After a hiatus of over a decade she began creating work again after the birth of her youngest. She is Co founder of the collective "Mother Maker Studios" ; a collaboration of mother artists who make during pockets of time while raising their children. Often exhibiting in group exhibitions together to try and take up spaces not normally open to them. Suzanne works in linocut woodcut and screen print. Inspired by an Irish sense of self deprecation, a longing for familiarity, a sense of recognition and vivid lively un-seriousness.
